- Disappointed with the AmigoPhone tool for Bars+Pipes?
-
- Try loading the Turbosound tool (part of the SuperJam! archive).
-
- With it you get:
- -up to 16 voices (w/and accel amiga)
- -multiple samples per sound
- (they include an incomplete general midi drum map,
- which you can flesh out)
- -samples don't alternate channels with each note
- -includes interface for editing/creating turbosounds
-
- Warning:
- Turbosound seems to conflict w/the internal metronome, so turn
- it off. When loading MIDI files, even that won't work and the
- playback is totally garbled. However, if you use the follow
- procedure, you can also use midi files:
-
- -load midi file (w/smerff acces.)
- -turn off internal metronome
- -copy (drag) the turbosound tool into a tooltray
- -load a sound into that tool
- -now copy (drag) that tool to the pipeline where needed
- -load new sounds to suit track
-
- Quality:
- The size of these sounds was kept small for users of older
- amigas. You can improve the quality by resetting the sample rate to
- High (16728 hz), tuning the sounds down and octave (they were orig
- sampled at Med (8364)) and resaving them.
-
- Try it...
